Thanks for joining me here. I live in the West Kootenays of beautiful British Columbia with my horse Prowler and 3 mares. I'm an animal lover, a student of horsemanship, a graphic designer, artist, photographer, and web designer. I own Sequoia Design.
I began this journey in the fall of 2008 when Prowler came home to live with me. I had been taking lessons on him for 6 months, trying to overcome the intense fear I felt being on and around horses due to an accident I'd had a couple of years earlier. Well, it turned out I didn't overcome my fear during that short time, but Prowler's owner was wanting to retire him as he was 22 and had worked hard in his life as a 3 day eventer, lease and lesson horse. I was in love with his kind heart and steady nature, and so I bought him.
Thanks to a wonderful neighbour and friend, I was introduced to Parelli home study DVD's, and I began to learn how to read and communicate with my horse. This was the way for me to overcome my fear. The rest is history and you can share in my learning as you peruse this blog. I hope you enjoy my stories.
